PAZHAM PORI (BANANA FRY)

Pazham pori or the Banana fry is a common snack served in Kerala hotels and roadside outlets in both Malabar and Travancore. It is a common snack served in the Mangala Lakshadweep express, Kerala Express, Kerala Sampark Kranti and other trains to Kerala. It is prepared from the special variety of Banana called  'Nendran'. 

Ingredients:
1. Bananas - semi ripe
2. Sugar
3. Wheat germ flour (Maida)
4. Water
5. Oil

How to make:

Mix maida in water to make a loose paste. Add sugar and a pinch of salt.
Peel and split bananas lenghtwise to make thin long slices.
Dip these slices in the paste and fry them in hot oil in a pan.
Serve hot.
